Bright Eyes - the People's Keys ****1/2



Coner Oberst gilt ja als eines der größten Masterminds unserer Zeit. In den letzten Jahren ist er leider etwas vom Kurs abgekommen. Währen mich "lifted..." und "wide awake" durch Jahren des depressiven Teenager seins begleitet haben, wahren die letzte Bright Eyes Platte und das Solo Schaffen bei weitem weniger bedeutend.
Die neue Platte kam etwas überraschend nachdem hartnäckig auflösungsgerüchte umgingen, wobei eine wirkliche konstante Bandbesetzung eigentlich nie existiert hat. "the Peoples Keys" ist auf alle fälle ein starkes Album, musikalisch leicht wie nie, aber textlich schwer und bedeutsam.

Lykke Li - Wounded Rhymes ****1/2



Lykke Li's zweite Platte schafft das Kunstück wie die erste zu klingen, das selbe Gefühl zu vermitteln und doch um einiges stärker zu sein als das Debüt. "Wounded Rhymes" hat die besseren Songs, und ihre Stimme verwandelt einfach jeden Song in einen magischen Traum.
Platte des Monats, aber Radiohead halt.


Beady Eye - Different Gear, Still Speeding **



Was für ein gigantischer Schwachsinn. Liam lässt die Eier raushängen, niemand wird sich Oasis Songs wünschen weil die Beady Eye Songs viel geiler sind. Pustekuchen. Schlecht sind sie nicht, sie sind eine großartige Cover Band für Ü40 Partys. Erst "Let it Be", dann "Let's Spend the Night Togther" dann "My Generation". Ein Song heißt "Beatles & Stones". Von der Presse wird er gar dafür gefeiert. Das Cover ist geil. Was für ein Schwachsinn. Was soll man noch sagen. In fünf Jahren ist dann wieder Oasis.


Radiohead - the King of Limbs *****



Radiohead Album = Meisterwerk, wenn es soweiter geht immer, Punkt.
